When the owner of this property first approached me I almost fell over myself, I had long been a huge admirer of this iconic property I was honoured to be part of its heritage. Built in the 1960s by renowned local quality builder the house was extremely high spec and no expense had been spared to create something extremely unique. Both the client I agreed the house needed some attention but we knew we had to approach it sensitively. The original kitchen was long gone so we embarked on recreating a new concept for the kitchen that would reflect its grandeur but in a contemporary way. The retro influence is obvious but we designed the kitchen in such a way that it still worked with more modern aesthetic. We kept it fairly pared back with all the joinery in white with Carrera marble and the hero in the space is the over scaled mural wallpaper from Paris.
